What is the GWA Calculator & GPA Converter?

This is a two-in-one academic tool designed for students. The GWA Calculator helps compute the General Weighted Average, a grading system common in the Philippines, by taking grades and corresponding units for multiple subjects. The GPA Converter translates a numerical grade (on a 0-100 scale) into its equivalent letter grade and 4.0 GPA, a system widely used in the United States and other regions.

History of this Feature

Different educational systems use different grading scales, which can be confusing for students applying for scholarships, graduate programs, or international studies. This tool was created to address that confusion. The GWA Calculator automates a common but sometimes tedious calculation for Filipino students, while the GPA Converter provides a quick and easy way to understand how a numerical grade translates to the widely recognized 4.0 scale.

Who Commonly Uses This Feature?

The GWA Calculator is primarily used by high school and university students in the Philippines to track their academic performance. The GPA Converter is used by students worldwide, especially those who need to report their grades in a standard 4.0 format for applications or for their own understanding.

This tool is designed for students to easily calculate their General Weighted Average (GWA) or convert grades to a standard 4.0 GPA scale.
