What is the Text Scrambler?
The Text Scrambler is a fun encryption tool that transforms readable text into an unreadable, jumbled format using a password. The process is reversible; anyone with the correct password can use the tool to unscramble the text back to its original form.
History of this Feature
This tool is based on a simple substitution cipher, one of the oldest forms of cryptography. While not secure enough for protecting truly sensitive data, it's a fun way to encode messages for games, puzzles, or private notes. Our Text Scrambler was created to provide an easy-to-use, browser-based version of this classic cryptographic concept, making it a fun utility for anyone to use.
Who Commonly Uses This Feature?
This tool is used by people looking for a fun way to send "secret" messages to friends, create puzzles, or simply play with text transformation. It is not intended for high-security applications but serves as an entertaining way to hide or obfuscate text.
How to Use the Text Scrambler
This tool provides a fun way to encode and decode messages using a password.
To Scramble (Encrypt) Text:
- Select "Scramble" mode.
- Enter the text you want to hide in the "Input Text" box.
- Enter a "Secret Password" that you will remember.
- Click "Process Text." The scrambled, unreadable text will appear in the "Output" box. Copy this text to share it.
To Unscramble (Decrypt) Text:
- Select "Unscramble" mode.
- Paste the scrambled text into the "Input Text" box.
- Enter the exact same "Secret Password" you used to scramble it.
- Click "Process Text" to reveal the original message in the "Output" box.
Important: This is a simple substitution cipher for fun, not for high-security applications. If you lose the password, the text cannot be recovered.
